Biofilm treatment on floating plastic media — a simple, robust STP that runs without sludge recirculation.
Thousands of small plastic carriers float freely in the aeration tank. Bacteria grow as a biofilm on their protected surfaces, giving a large treatment area inside a small tank.
Aeration keeps the media in constant motion, bringing sewage into contact with the biofilm. There is no return sludge pumping — the plant is simple to run and tolerant of shock loads.
Raw sewage is screened and equalised.
Media biofilm consumes the organic load.
Tube settler separates biological solids.
PSF / ACF filtration, chlorine or UV.
No return sludge pumping — media stays in the reactor.
Final specifications are engineered per site after requirement study.
