Working principle

Exhaust gas is forced through a scrubbing liquid — water or an alkaline solution — inside a packed tower or venturi. Particulates and soluble gases transfer into the liquid.

Packing, spray nozzles and mist eliminators are selected per pollutant. The scrubbing liquid is recirculated with fresh make-up, and the bleed-off is routed to the ETP.
