Working principle

Organic waste is crushed and fed into a sealed digester where, in the absence of oxygen, bacteria break it down and release biogas — roughly 60% methane.

The gas is cleaned and piped for cooking or power generation, while the digested slurry makes a nutrient-rich manure. Digesters are sized from canteen scale to municipal scale.
